Alumna of the Year 2011

Cynthia Pazos has been named the 2011 Cabrini High School Alumna of the Year.
Cindy is a 1976 graduate of Cabrini. She then matriculated at the University of New Orleans in business.
Cindy is a highly respected businesswoman. In 1997, she founded Diabetes Management & Supplies, now the largest direct-to-customer supplier of diabetes related products and medications in the Gulf South and one of the largest in the country. Now in its 11th year, DMS has built its success on providing reliable service to its many thousands of customers.
Cynthia understands the principle of service and the importance of education. The goal of the company is to help people with diabetes to improve their disease management through medication and education, and to support the health care professionals working with them. In 2005, Cindy’s company opened a learning center. This multi-use facility provides a venue for continuing education seminars, support group meetings, and exercise and cooking classes on a regular basis, all free to the public
In 2010, Cindy was named the Woman in Business Champion of the Year by the Small Business Association for her accomplishments and for demonstrating the qualities of entrepreneurship.
Cindy is back at Cabrini on a regular basis. She has been a very active alumna and her efforts to promote Cabrini High School have been unwavering. For the last five years, she has been on the alumnae board, on the president's advisory council, and served as chairperson for the alumnae annual giving drive in 2007-2009; under her leadership, alumnae giving greatly increased.
Her most recent effort to promote Cabrini has been through her idea of Cabrini jewelry. The Cabrini collection features violets, the favorite flower of St. Frances Cabrini. Cindy is always searching for new ways to support Cabrini High School.
She has demonstrated a deep concern for the future of Cabrini High School and has been dedicated to promoting its mission.
