Cabrini High School’s Alumnae Association held their annual Luncheon at the Southern Yacht Club on April 6th.

Over 90 members of the Cabrini Alumnae Association attended the event honoring the 2013 Alumna of the Year, Sr. Mary Ellen Wheelahan, O.Carm'72. Cabrini High School President Ardley Hanemann Jr. presented Sr. Mary Ellen with a plaque commemorating her selection. The alumnae were graced with beautiful weather, wonderful food, and great company as they reminisced about the time spent at Cabrini. The event included a raffle benefiting the Alumnae Association Legacy Scholarship featuring an autographed football from Saints punter, Thomas Morstead. Proceeds from the raffle were donated to the Legacy Scholarship fund.

The Class of 1998 celebrated its 15 Year Reunion on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar and Restaurant. Notable alumnae from the Class of '98 included: Lucy Bustamante, former news anchor for WWLTV who flew in from Virginia; Ashley Ricord Santos, who recently won the Best Supporting Actress award for the play Streetcar Named Desire at the Big Easy Awards; Myrna Ibert Loomis, who currently coaches track and cross country at Cabrini High School; and Katie Thayer Meadows, who owns her own veterinary practice in Kentwood, Louisiana. The ladies enjoyed listening to the DJ and eating the seafood selection at Lucy’s.

Cabrini High School hosted a reunion for Houston area alumnae at the home of Suzanne Thompson Seiler'72, in the Woodlands, TX.

Cabrini Alumnae Director Amelia Hatheway and Director of Institutional Advancement Dori Orr feted the Texas alumnae, who were  excited to connect with other Crescents living in the Houston area. In addition to a Lenten appropriate menu and libations, guests were showered with Cabrini memorabilia and gifts, including Cabrini t-shirts, mugs, ornaments, and more. Host Suzanne Thompson Seiler'72, an accomplished artist, donated one of her original prints as the door prize for this year’s event. Guests exchanged stories and phone numbers, as they relived warm memories of their experiences at Cabrini.

Recently a group of Cabrini’s most generous donor alumnae was honored with a luncheon at Commander’s Palace. Cindy Pazos’76, 2010 Alumna of the Year, hosted the 2nd Annual Generosity in Giving event as an expression of gratitude to the alumnae who share her love for Cabrini and its mission through their gifts.

Cabrini High School alumnae joined President Ardley Hanemann Jr. for a Northshore chapter event in the Covington home of Fay Duplantier Rice'65 on Friday, March 1st.

The Northshore family of Cabrini alumnae enjoyed reconnecting with classmates, sharing old memories, and renewing old friendships. The event was punctuated with a raffle and prizes, including Cabrini t-shirts, mugs, ornaments, and much more. The alumnae passed around iPads with digital yearbook archives from their graduating classes that are now available online at www.cabrinihigh.com.

Cabrini High School’s Class of 1983 celebrated their 30th Anniversary Reunion by attending the Cabrini Gala on Saturday, February 23rd.

The Class of ’83 was very pleasantly surprised when joined by Carol Conravey Levy, who flew in from Qatar to attend the reunion. Members of the group were honored guests at the Cabrini Gala, celebrating their 30th with a night of fun, food and dancing. Throughout the evening, many members walked the Cabrini campus, and several visited Mother Cabrini’s bedroom to spend a private moment in silent reflection.

Cabrini High School’s Class of 1963 held its 50th Anniversary Reunion luncheon at Vincent’s Restaurant in Metairie on February 22.

At the luncheon Cabrini President Ardley Hanemann presented each member of the Class of ‘63 with a single yellow rose, their class flower.  During the luncheon, the ladies passed around memorabilia, yearbooks, and photos from their years at Cabrini High School.  The Alumnae Office provided digital copies of the 1963 yearbook to each member in attendance and a trivia contest was held with questions about their time at Cabrini to refresh cherished memories.

After the luncheon the group then toured Cabrini's Esplanade campus and each alumnae was allowed a private moment of reflection in Mother Cabrini’s bedroom.  Their tour concluded with a Prayer Service lead by Deacon Uriel Durr in the campus chapel.

Members of the group each received a special invitation to the Cabrini Gala the following evening where they were recognized individually and presented with a special gift.  The ladies enjoyed the night, celebrating the golden anniversary of their graduation from Cabrini with dancing, food and fun at the Gala.

The Class of 1965 enjoyed its annual dinner on Friday, January 18, 2013. The Class of 1965 gathered together at Vincent’s Restaurant (Metairie, LA) to enjoy fun, food, and friendship. They passed around yearbooks and pictures, laughing and reminiscing about the good times they shared here at Cabrini. The highlight of the night was when owner and head Chef Vincent Catalanotto came out to thank the Class of 1965 for make Vincent’s Restaurant a part of their annual celebration. The ladies are looking forward to seeing each other next year for the annual event.

The Class of 2012 enjoyed a yearbook party in its honor in alumnae hall Monday, December 17, 2012. Social studies teacher Max Yuratich made a special guest appearance at the party and enjoyed reminiscing with the Class of 2012. All of the graduates in attendance received a mini diploma along with their 2012 Yearbook.
