Cabrini students excel in a learning environment that features small class sizes and individualized attention, a stable, experienced and certified staff, and academic rigor with support for students’ varied abilities. Cabrini develops young women who live the core values of respect, excellence, and service.
The college preparatory program at Cabrini offers a full menu of Honors, Advanced Placement (AP), and Dual Enrollment classes. Advanced technology, outstanding athletics, an active and engaged student life, and strong spirit of service are all paramount to a Cabrini education and experience.
Cabrini’s college preparatory program provides students with a well-rounded foundation for college and life. Cabrini embraces a holistic approach to education—music, drama, art, physical education, and athletics are emphasized equally with science, mathematics, history, language, and literature. A Cabrini student enjoys a broad, challenging curriculum designed to develop the whole woman. Course work includes participation in nationally recognized, award-winning science and fine arts programs in addition to exemplary core courses.
The Cabrinian philosophy of education ensures small class sizes, individualized attention, and the opportunity for the highest level of academic, personal, and spiritual growth for each student. At Cabrini, students are not bound by being assigned to one academic track. Courses are selected with student input and consider student ability and talent. Academic rigor is found throughout the curriculum and students are challenged, encouraged, and their limits are tested with continuous support. “Perfection is not acquired by keeping one’s arms folded, but by striving assiduously to overcome one’s self.” – St. Frances X. Cabrini
Our AP Open Enrollment policy ensures that AP courses are available to all students, not just honors students. Approximately 24 percent of Cabrini students enroll annually in AP or Dual Enrollment classes. Taught by teachers certified by the College Board (AP) and the University of New Orleans, AP and Dual Enrollment courses allow students to prepare for college level work and earn college credits while attending Cabrini. In fact, the Cabrini Class of 2020 earned a combined total of 246 college credit hours through AP and Dual Enrollment classes offered on Cabrini’s campus.
Cabrini faculty members hold weekly office hours to assist individual students. Writing, Math, and Science Labs, Homework Hall, and Sustained Silent Reading are all designed to help Cabrini students grow academically.
Cabrini High School is accredited by the Louisiana State Department of Education and Cognia.
