The Cabrini Bowling Team was named District Champions of the Varsity Girls Bowling League for the first time since 2010. The team finished out the regular season with a record of 11-1. The girls won hard-fought matches against Academy of Our Lady, Bonnabel, Chalmette and Holy Rosary to
Team members include: Senior Katie Bonck; Juniors Janay Chopin, Olivia Loyde (Team Captain), Savannah Seals and Olivia Sherburne; Sophomores Tori Luster and Victoria Montalbano; and Freshman Arianna Williams.
The team is coached by Bill Trinchard and faculty advisor Mrs. Anne Jeanmard.
Freshman Arianna Williams was named the Varsity Girls Bowling League MVP for the 2015 season. She achieved the highest season end rank in all three scoring categories: Highest Average -151.49, Highest Score Series – 544 and Highest Score Game - 192. In addition, Arianna was named to the Number One position of the First All-District Team.
Cabrini also had five other bowlers named to the League’s All –District Teams. Team Captain and Junior Olivia Loyde and Sophomore Victoria Montalbano earned First Team Honors. Senior Katie Bonck, Sophomore Tori Luster and Junior Savannah Seals all earned Second Team Honors.
Coach Bill Trinchard stated that he is extremely proud of the girls’ All-District Honors this season and remarked that our MVP Arianna, Tori and Savannah are all first year team members. He is looking forward to a successful upcoming playoff run.
