The Guidance Department provides academic as well as personal support services to students in all grade levels. In today's world, schools need to take an active role in helping students succeed academically and grow spiritually by providing resources for personal development and life skills.
Guidance counselors help students identify their aptitudes, interests, educational abilities and needs in order to set appropriate goals. In junior and senior years, students are assisted with the college application process and provided with current financial aid and scholarship information. Cabrini High participates in the Archdiocesan College Night and invites universities for lunchtime visits, giving students the opportunity to meet with representatives from many colleges and universities across the country. A Career Day is held each year to expose students on all grade levels to different career options.
The Students Against Drugs and Alcohol Club, moderated by the counselors, provides students with current drug and alcohol information and sponsors school-wide prevention activities throughout the year.
