A Prayer Service, Ring Ceremony, and Reception honored the Cabrini High State Champion Swimmers. All five Cabrini Swimmers won the 2016 LHSAA Division II State Championship in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:40.99 setting a new LHSSA Division II record in that event.
Cabrini Chamber Ensemble under the direction of Elizabeth Argus earned Superior Ratings at the Louisiana Music Educators Association Solo and Small Ensemble Regional Festival.
Cabrini Juniors Rebekah Alvarenga and Erin Haynes each won an honorable mention in the inaugural State Rally Art Competition with their original works in two separate media.
More than half of the 32 Cabrini students who competed in the Literary District Rally qualified to the State Literary Rally competition at Louisiana State University to be held April 1, 2017.
The Generosity in Giving luncheon is an annual event hosted by Cindy Pazos'76 at Commander’s Palace thanking alumnae donors to Cabrini High School. Each attendee received an original piece of art commissioned by Ms. Pazos of the historic Esplanade building. Alumna of the Year Yvonne LaFleur was an honoree.

Cabrini High students participated in “Consequences of Impact,” a mock crash involving impaired driving. Students involved acted out a fatal crash scenario in front of their peers, allowing the students to see first-hand how drinking, driving, and poor decisions affect everyone involved. The mock crash promotes open and trusting relationships between parents and teens.
Career Day 2017 welcomed 29 presenters, 23 of whom where Cabrini alumnae. The day began with Community Mass after which guests enjoyed a Continental Breakfast in the Sister Aloysius Almerico, MSC Library.

Through the work of the Mission Integration Committee, two awards were established in 2015 for faculty and staff: the Co-worker in the Vineyard Mission and Service award and the Cabrinian Educator Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Any member of the Cabrini community may nominate any faculty or staff member for these awards.
With these awards, we honor the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus whose faith and mission brought them to New Orleans to share the legacy and teachings of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini.
Friday, March 31st, a group of Spanish students represented Cabrini at the 35th Southeastern University Foreign Language Festival. They were accompanied by their teachers Mrs. Vivian Coutin and Mrs. Maria A. Fuertes-Andurand.
